Female code breakers all over the world broke significant barriers in terms of female empowerment in the technology industry, but their work was never surfaced until years later. Held to a higher standard, these women were discharged for much more insignificant justification than their fellow brothers and fathers. Women being denied credit despite their service rings true throughout America’s history, proving how impermeable the barriers remained once the threat of war had passed. [1]

The google memo scandal in 2017 highlighted that the streotypes of women conducting tedious work while men spearheaded innovation that women faced in the 1940s still exist today. [4]
Today’s women will have to continue the fight to break down the barriers to women’s involvement and equality in Tech.
